This essay presents Prolegomena's proposal for a future science of communication. In this text, we approach its most essential dimension — the defence of an invariable of communication — through a metaphysical discussion in a dimension that precedes theory, demonstrating how prolegomena can put differences into interlocution by delimiting a common invariable. As a cross-section, we approach one of the ontological aspects of communication, emission, from an interlocution between the concepts of active signalling and communicational gestures. In doing so, we highlight the contributions of antagonistic theories to describing the strata of communication.
